Craft Circle

The Craft Circle meets in the Jennymount Methodist Church on Wednesday mornings, 10am to noon. 

We have a free and easy morning, some are knitting some are stitching, some crocheting, and all are talking. And of course we have the usual tea 'n' coffee ‘n’ biscuits break. 

During the year we knit blankets, babies’ jumpers and hats, which we send to Uganda through local charity Abaana. For the past three years we have had a table at the Girls’ Brigade annual Christmas sale and have been able to sell some of our work which along with our weekly collection helps us make a yearly donation to five charities. 

From time to time thanks to grants we are able to engage a tutor, Ann. Most recently those who were interested in patchwork were shown how to make a reversible table or a patchwork bag. We are hoping that Ann will be able to come back in the near future to help with other projects. 

Would anyone like to join us? Whether you can knit, crochet, stitch, sew, or not, you will be made very welcome, and who knows, you might even discover some hidden talent, or teach us something else. We are always willing to learn. 

If you are free on Wednesday mornings we would really love to have you with us. We can guarantee that you will have a very enjoyable time.
